A British Army bomb disposal team attended the scene of yesterday's terror attack in Manchester.

At approximately 09:30 on Thursday, a man drove a vehicle into people outside a synagogue. Reports say the attacker then assaulted some of those struck by the car with a bladed weapon. He was shot dead by police marksmen.

The incident required the deployment of bomb disposal experts. The Army has confirmed that personnel from 11 EOD and Search Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps, were in attendance.

It was later confirmed by Greater Manchester Police that a suspected explosive device worn by the attacker was found to be "unviable."
