Who we are
BFBS Forces News is a trusted, independent broadcaster reporting on defence, security and the UK Armed Forces.
We are mainly funded by a contract with the Ministry of Defence to provide news and entertainment to the UK Armed Forces, including military personnel deployed overseas. Full funding details for BFBS, the overarching charity which owns Forces News, can be found here.
This MOD funding has no bearing on our editorial independence.
We put the Armed Forces community at the heart of our stories and report the issues that matter to you: from the global threat picture, to deployments and defence spending, along with all aspects of military life, from housing to recruitment and mental health.
We cover the Army, Navy and RAF, alongside military-adjacent organisations like the cadet forces.
